Join Us for a Laugh! Chesterton Sophomores Present "More Bodies, Please" by Dale Alquist.

"Serve the Lord with laughter" -St. Padre Pio

This December, the sophomore class will have you in stitches with their production of "More Bodies, Please" by Dale Alquist. This outrageous whodunit takes place in the lobby of a 1980's hotel where dead bodies just keeping showing up! Far from trying to get to the bottom of the situation, the hotel manager seems to be willing to go to any length to avoid an investigation. But as more and more eccentric and suspicious guests arrive and start to piece together the clues, he may start to wonder whether he is already in the middle of one...

The main theme for sophomore year at Chesterton Academy is incarnation. An example of this concept in action is their first play, wherein the written word literally becomes flesh as they bring their characters to life onstage. Drama is also an excellent example of integration in our curriculum, as students apply concepts from many varied disciplines, including philosophy, theology, art, literature, music, and dance.

We hope to see many parents, students, family, friends, and members of the larger Chesterton Academy community take advantage of this opportunity to come together and laugh! As G.K. Chesterton said, "[laughter] unfreezes pride and unwinds secrecy; it makes men forget themselves in the presence of something greater than themselves; something [...] that they cannot resist."
