MIGUEL ACOSTA

CHAIRMAN

Miguel Acosta was raised in Sacramento and graduated from Christian Brothers High School. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Arts in Public Policy and Administration from CSU, Sacramento. Miguel has more than 20 years of experience in the public sector with over a decade in executive leadership. Currently a national expert in autonomous vehicle policy, Miguel leads the state’s efforts in regulating self-driving vehicles. Miguel is an active member within his parish community as a lector and past Grand Knight of his local Knights of Columbus Council. Miguel resides in Sacramento with his wife Cristina and four children.

RYAN MAYER

VICE-CHAIRMAN

Ryan Mayer is Director of the Office of Catholic Identity Assessment & Formation for the Archdiocese of San Francisco. He has served in Catholic education for almost twenty years as a teacher and administrator and holds degrees in theology, philosophy, literature, bioethics, and educational administration. In addition, he holds a certification in health care ethics from the National Catholic Bioethics Center and has published in the field of bioethics. Ryan and his wife Melissa have four children who attend Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary School.

Hagen Lendewig

TREASURER

Hagen Lendewig was raised in Sacramento as the oldest of eight children, graduated from Jesuit High School, and went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Finance from Sacramento State. Hagen has worked in various Finance & Accounting roles in the private sector, has served as a high school youth minister, the chair of the finance council for his local parish, and a board member of the Sacramento Catholic Forum.

He and his wife, Emily, are parishioners at St. Joseph Marello in Granite Bay and enjoy sharing the beauty of the Catholic faith with their six children.

DIANNE ABI-NADER

SECRETARY

Originally from California’s central coast, Dianne Abi-Nader has served for nine years and presently as a Catholic homeschool educator to her two sons.  Dianne earned a BS in Accounting and Minor in Spanish from Santa Clara University, California.  She holds an MBA in Marketing from Boston University, Massachusetts.  Dianne brings experience in governmental accounting, marketing consulting (business to business), and project management.  Dianne and Peter Abi-Nader have been happily married for 16 years, and enjoy visiting family, hiking, biking, and spectating their sons’ various sports.  They love the Catholic faith and look forward to building Catholic community, culture, and friendship.

 
 
 
 
Father Adam Tokashiki Oka, PES

Fr. Adam Tokashiki

SCHOOL CHAPLAIN

Fr. Adam Tokashiki was born in Lima, Peru in 1986. He has three older brothers. Fr. Adam studied at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima for a short period before God called him to the religious life. He joined Pro Ecclesia Sancta (PES) in 2006. He was sent to Saint Paul, Minnesota in 2009 to help start a new PES foundation and finish his studies. In 2012, Fr. Adam earned his B.A. degree from the University of St. Thomas, majoring in Philosophy and Catholic Studies. He finished his theological training at the St Paul Seminary School of Divinity and was ordained a priest in the spring of 2016. After ordination, Fr. Adam served as the first chaplain of Chesterton Academy of the Twin Cities, and as Parochial Vicar at St. Mark’s parish from 2016 to 2020. Now he serves as Associate pastor at St Lawrence parish in North Highlands and chaplain of the Sacramento Newman Center. He also serves as Director of the Catholic Advance Movement of California, which is the lay movement of Pro Ecclesia Sancta.

FATHER ALVARO PEREZ

BOARD MEMBER

Father Alvaro Perez was born in Lima, Peru, and he is the youngest of four. He comes from a devout Catholic family. Most of his family still lives in Peru. Right after graduation from college, where he studied to become an industrial engineer, he joined the religious community Pro Ecclesia Sancta at the age of twenty-three. In 2009, he was sent to Minnesota to finish his theological training at the St. Paul Seminary School of Divinity. He was ordained a priest in St. Paul on May 30, 2015 and served in this archdiocese for 3 years. Father Alvaro was sent to the Diocese of Sacramento in 2018 to become a pastor of the Churches of St. Anthony in Walnut Grove and St. Therese in Isleton. In 2020, he became the Pastor of St. Lawrence in North Highlands where he serves today. He also serves as the Local Superior of Pro Ecclesia Sancta for the Male Branch. He is passionate about evangelization and classical education.

PETER ABI-NADER

BOARD MEMBER

Peter Abi-Nader was raised in Fair Oaks, CA and graduated from Jesuit High School.  He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and MBA from the University of San Francisco.  Peter is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Northern California. He is an active member at St. Mel’s Parish and Knights of Columbus. Peter and his wife, Dianne, enjoy spending time with their two sons, coaching, hiking, skiing, traveling, and reading.

KEITH MARTIN

BOARD MEMBER

Keith Martin serves as Principal at St. John Notre Dame School in Folsom, CA. Keith has spent has spent the last 21 years in Catholic education, serving the Archdiocese of San Francisco, Diocese of Oakland, the LaSallian Christian Brothers and most recently the Diocese of Sacramento. Keith is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, having earned an M.A. in Educational Leadership. Keith facilitates courses for The University of Notre Dame: McGrath Institute of Church Life (STEP ND).

Keith’s vision is to unveil a school culture where all students look at the world through a “Catholic Lens.” As a champion for Catholic schools, Keith works to strengthen and sustain Catholic schools nationally by participating in many collaboratives including Duc In Altum, Institute for Catholic Liberal Education (ICLE), Partners in Mission and The Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE).

Keith is married and has three children who all attend Catholic schools.
