What’s Life Like at Chesterton?

Have you ever wondered what life is like at Chesterton? This past Tuesday, 30 eighth grade students from 11 different schools got a chance to experience life on campus.

During our biggest Shadow Day yet, our young guests joined us for daily Mass, were placed in our of our Four Houses (just for the day), and with their fellow Chesterton students, rotated through three dynamic lectures: human biology with Dr. de Lorimier, art history with Ms. Stoutz, and an introduction to Latin with Mr. Jaime. The day ended with a competitive trivia contest for real house points in the gym. It was a very spirited day of joyful competition and learning!

“Robin Hood”

Hits the Mark

Congratulations to drama teacher, Mrs. Teresa Eggers, and the entire sophomore class for an entertaining performance of “Robin Hood”!

Our first drama production of the year featured exciting battle scenes on a new stage with improved sound quality. A surprise appearance by our very own Mr. Patrick Murray topped off a fun evening for the whole family.

Fall Sports Wrap Up

CAS Cross Country celebrated its fourth season with pride! Our runners competed in invitationals throughout the greater Sacramento area, racing alongside schools such as Jesuit, Christian Brothers, and other schools, public and private. Congratulations to our graduating seniors, Francisco and Gianna, who have been dedicated to the sport since their freshman year. We look forward to many more exciting seasons of CAS XC. Thank you, Coach Peter Vacura and Assistant Coach Rose Lindsey for a wonderful season. Go Saints!

Our Lady Saints celebrated a winning volleyball season in spite of a very competitive game schedule. Often pushing the match to five sets, these fierce Chestertonians pushed their bodies and their spirits to the limit with unfailing perseverance and school pride. We were able to host our first season of home games this year at Holy Family's gym, and celebrated Senior Night for Lennon and Payton on Sept. 29th. We'd like to extend a tremendous thank you to veteran Coach Don Beedy and Assistant Coach Mary White for an amazing season of growth, teamwork, and friendship!
