A Note of Thanksgiving

From the Headmaster's Desk

Dear Friends of Chesterton Academy of Sacramento,

At this time of year, it is always good to reflect on the many blessings that God has sent our way, and one of them is Chesterton Academy of Sacramento! There are so many gifts to be thankful for when it comes to our school. Here is some of what I have been observing in my first few months as Headmaster.

  • Students are grateful to be at Chesterton Academy. They are grateful for an education that is truly teaching them to think. They are thankful that they get to not only compete in athletics, but are also required to be in plays, debate, and choir. They appreciate this integrated, classical, Catholic education. They cherish the friendships that they’ve made. They are increasingly grateful for the sacraments and the availability of our priests.

  • Teachers are grateful for the opportunity to work at this school. For all of us, we love that when we go to work that we can attend daily mass. We love that our mission is to share knowledge, wisdom, and joy to our students. Especially for those teachers who came from a public school background, they are relieved to be able to proclaim the truth about God and the faith boldly.

  • Parents are grateful to have found a place to send their children that is safe. We do not merely mean “safe” from outside harm; we mean “safe” also in how the school nurtures the life of faith in these young people. Parents feel supported in how the school seeks to both teach and form these young people. Parents are thankful for all of the friendships and community to be found here.

In short, we are all very grateful for God’s provision in allowing for Chesterton Academy of Sacramento.

We now ask you as part of your own ongoing recognition of generosity to support this wonderful school. Please consider making a year-end gift of any amount to help us keep tuition affordable. All gifts will be matched up to $25,000. Your contributions go a long way to enable us to continue this mission of a classical education, the Catholic faith, and Chestertonian joy!

God bless,

Harrison Brehm
