The Fiery Love of God by Dale Ahlquist tells the amazing, little known story of the life of St. Catherine of Genoa, a 15th century Italian mystic. Born a noblewoman, forced into an unwanted marriage, and abandoned by her husband, she then had a vision of Christ and went on to run a hospital caring for the plague victims. Most remarkable of all was her vision of Purgatory.

Audiences are sure to be edified and thoroughly entertained by this dramatization of her life, which includes both saintly and unsavory characters, a party in a palace and a sword fight in the streets, deadly sins and moving conversions, serious drama and laugh-out-loud comedy.

This play has an approximate run time of 105 minutes, with one 15-minute intermission. There are two scenes which include fake blood and one scene that includes strong language. While we want all events to be as family-friendly as possible, this play may not be appropriate for young children. Excessive movement or noise in the audience is enough to distract even the most seasoned actor, so children who are not comfortable sitting still for an hour should also stay home.

We look forward to sharing this beautiful story with you!
