Teaching Positions
Summary
We are seeking committed, faithful teachers to join us in our pursuit of a joyfully Catholic, classical education. Ideal candidates will embrace the integration of faith and reason and contribute to a rigorous great books–based curriculum. Experience with classical education or a Chesterton Academy model is preferred.
We are currently hiring teachers in the following subject areas:
Mathematics: Euclidean Geometry, Analytical Geometry, Calculus
Theology: Sacred Scripture, Catechism of the Catholic Church
Science: Chemistry, Physics
Philosophy
Foreign Language: Spanish I and Spanish II
Teachers should be prepared to engage students in a rich, integrated curriculum and may contribute across disciplines within the broader classical framework, including science, mathematics, literature, history, and theology.

Requirements
Humanities Faculty
Candidates teaching Humanities courses should be prepared to instruct multiple levels of the following subjects: History, Latin, Literature, Writing, Philosophy, and Theology. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related Humanities field is required.
Math and Science Faculty
Candidates teaching Math or Science courses must hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in the relevant field, along with prior teaching experience in one or more of the following areas:
Mathematics: Geometry, Algebra II/Trigonometry, Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus
Science: Geology, Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Physics
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates able to teach across disciplines within the classical curriculum—Humanities, Mathematics, and Natural Sciences—are especially encouraged to apply. Familiarity with Euclidean geometry in a classical setting is highly valued and is often developed through a Great Books education, such as that offered at Thomas Aquinas College or St. John’s College.
Experience
Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred; however, candidates with less experience but strong qualifications and alignment with the mission will also be considered.
Faith and Mission Alignment
The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as a proven commitment to the mission of a Catholic apostolic educational institution.
Faculty Life and Responsibilities
In addition to classroom teaching, Chesterton Academy faculty participate in the House system, which fosters virtue, character formation, and spiritual growth among students. Faculty are expected to attend daily Mass with the student body, assist with spiritual retreats and school events, and serve as joyful witnesses to a life in Christ through both example and instruction.
